How to make Train rail path with track switch

Hi,
i am new to torque and till now i think i have understand the different tools to make a short game but now need some advice to make a train rail path.
Ok, first some infos about the short game.
I want to make a coffebreaktime game, a little shooter that you can play true in about 2 up to 4 minutes or so.
You as the player will drive with a lore trough caves and can shoot some trolls.
You can make points and you have health. So if you have enough health before you came to the track switch you will make a longer ride and so you can make more points. If the health is to low you will ride to the exit.
So my problem is at first to make the different path for the lore and also switch the track switch so that the player can ride a longer way if he has enough points.
Ok, the second problem is not to script the track switch but to stick the different pathes smoothly together.
How should i do or can i do the rail path?
I will that the rail path follow the modeled rail line smoothly and also i want that the lore turn smoothly in the curvs and not make a sharp turnaround.
So if you have some tips or advice for a beginner i will thank you in advance.
