Mouse & Alt-tabbing
by Stefan Lundmark · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 11/14/2004 (8:11 am) · 5 replies
Running the latest HEAD and the normal TSE demonstration, if you alt-tab out of the game and then go back in.. your mouse will get stuck if you move it to the far corners of the screen.
I can reproduce this every time :) Anyone else wanna try? Annoying as hell.

What do you mean by "stuck"? If I alt-tab out, I sometimes see my cursor in the TSE window where it was last drawn before it left the window. Is that what you are talking about? I don't have any problems where the cursor is no longer controllable.

If I move the mouse even further out when the cursor has stopped, it will stop rendering and disappear until I move it back in again.
This is fullscreen, 1280x960.

When you get back in, you can move the mouse everywhere except a few pixels close to the corner. If you do, the cursor gets stuck.. ie it stops there until I move the mouse away from the corner, in which case the cursor starts moving again. If I move the mouse even further out when the cursor has stopped, it will stop rendering and disappear until I move it back in again.

It appears those pixels by the corner are the Windows XP desktop that is being drawn around the 'rounded' corners of the window's title bar. At least for me.

Midhir, I take it you also have this issue - then? I'd like to take a look, but not if no one else has the same issue.

You sure? I get this behaviour all around the screen, not just in the corners.Midhir, I take it you also have this issue - then? I'd like to take a look, but not if no one else has the same issue.
