Hey,
I noticed that the SDK was available for HL2. The servers are pretty clogged so I went to softimages website to see what this xsi:exp was all about.
It's a full version of softimage to be used with HL2.
It has alot of tutorials and since its free I figured I would fiddle around with it.
Just thought I would throw that out there

Here's the link

One thing I'd like to mention about Softimage XSI (including the free one for use with HL2) is that you have to use a minimum 1124x864 screen resolution (or more, I can't remember exactly) or you will not see the whole editor window. Personally, I'm not comfortable working with anything more than 1024x768... and it's not fun having to manually switch resolution everytime you use one program. Just a heads up on that.

I got XSI too and I really like it. Does anyone know if there are any converters or importers to get what I make into Torque?

EXP for HL2 Limitations

You should definitely read the FAQ before you make any commercial work with this product.

XSI seems to be an excellent product for the price. It's especially heartening that there's a Linux version of it available. While it's more expensive than GameSpace, I've heard some very good thigns about the workflow. I haven't used it, though.
