Well for awhile now ive been scouring everywhere looking for a character modeller with no luck
But i thought i would dish out the one soldier we do have and try get some feedback on exactly what can be changed fairly easily whilst making new models.
This is the model in question

www.illumina-game.com/index.php/mod/gallery/file/display/image/40?asc=0&sort=i.a...
Now discarding the bumpmaps e.t.c which i plan on using if we ever port to TSE im looking for some suggestions on what can be changed both texture wise and mesh wise to try and get some different soldiers within the same team.
Sadly the person who modelled him as since moved onto proper game dev studios so im looking for some crits/opinions .
If anyones familiar with making simple mesh changes and /or texture changes i would love to hear from you.

the head seems a little wide on the front view
and you MUST scale those hands up!! thats why the arms look a little funny the hands are so thin
texture is good but if anything a little bland.. its all the same
try adding some scratches to the armour, dirt on the clothes.. what about insignias/badges etc? just something to break up the one colour uniform

Try flaring the shoulder pads out a little away from the arms, and like said before scale the hands so they dont look so flat. Also the forearm needs to be slightly longer where the wrist connects to the hands, the skinny part of the wrist. I think the model looks awesome other wise.

The hands are way too thin (from back of the hand to palm). Change those and it will look decent, although there are several small tweaks that could be made if you want more athletic/attractive/personalized soldiers.
