Strategy/3D render

Hi All,
Sorry if I sound really dumb but I'm new to the Torque engine. I was wondering if it is possible to create a game that moves in 3D and then the player could log into a computer or something in the 3D world and have a strategy 2D game sorta interface. They could then control the world from 2D until they are ready to logout and run around again. Does anyone know how I could accomplish this with Torque?
Cheers

Weve used this for the basis on our game and have since expanded it for our needs.
Great resource!
