I want my...
I want my P - T - T!!!
---------------------------------
It is possible that -z-, in the middle of a particularly aggressive game of Team Scrum, severed a nerve in his back, fell to the floor, and had been laying there for weeks. He would have passed away sooner had it not been for the 1/2 height fridge full of "Jolt" Cola, and the case of cheese doodles sitting next to his desk. But alas, he consumed all of the snacks and eventually perished. His cries for help proved ineffectual (since his neighbors were used to hearing him scream in the midst of a good scrum), the smell of his decaying carcass didn't affect his neighbors since they were accustomed to the stench of half eaten pizza and spilled sour beer emanating from his abode. No, what finally brought down PTT was the electric company pulling the plug after several late payment notices.
The rest is history.

Everything should be back up and running now. What happened is that they changed the network they were on to a faster one, and in the process changed the serverIP's. I've been in total crunch mode working on contract work and didn't get the email about the new IP addresses until it was too late. I apologize for all those who had to quit cold turkey there for a bit. ;)

I feel sorry for you guys. I only peruse the forums these days, no real playing or serious contributing to PTT, so it doesn't bother me much. But in the past week you've had to endure the Master Server going down, and now this. That sucks.

Nah, that post is from back in January when it was down Racer.I feel sorry for you guys. I only peruse the forums these days, no real playing or serious contributing to PTT, so it doesn't bother me much. But in the past week you've had to endure the Master Server going down, and now this. That sucks.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

PTT will be down until the 13th... sorry guys. Donations didn't cover (and haven't for months) the monthly fee. I had some mixups with the bank and they held a deposit they shouldn't have, the new deposit wont clear until the 13th so the servers will be down until then.I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks for letting us know DanMac. Also RX & I will be taking donations at the TT party & convention !

Anyway, did I get any broadcast donations for the convention? Haven't had time to check... :)
EDIT: I should mention that this is Chilled Lizard speaking ;)
05/11/2005 (8:11 pm)
Indeed. I honestly thought that there were more than enough donors... Clearly I was wrong. Someone (like Dan), gimme the URL for the PTT PayPal donation account RIGHT NOW!! Must....donate....Must....Save...PTT.... :)Anyway, did I get any broadcast donations for the convention? Haven't had time to check... :)

I have no idea how much the servers cost? I think if the TT community knows what it costs they will be responsible and do some simple math and donate to keep this game alive and HEALTHY, playable that is!
Can someone answer? I will post in our Forum the link for donations and i will post how much i donate to get the ball rolling. Maybe people will follow.

Thanks for your work, my lunch hours are always cool with TT.
05/12/2005 (11:18 am)
@ Dan , If all players give you $10.00 US is that good, i don't want to be cheap , some guys are teens, while others like me are adults and have means. Give me an idea and i will come back with money from ST players. Also we can donate on PTT right? Thanks for your work, my lunch hours are always cool with TT.

Did the well go dry again?

They should have something like this up if you can't get in. Read the coments that come up. It's hysterical! ...and would make a good country song. So, who's buying the first round?

You see, I'm just a web server...
-- here I am, brain the size of the universe
trying to serve you a simple web page
and then it doesn't even exist!
Where does that leave me?!
*sigh*
Man, I'm so depressed I could just cry.
And then where would we be, I ask you?
It's not pretty when a web server cries.
