We do not say that BEEING POOR allows us to pirate sourcode.
The point is we wanted to test it before we buy it.
Noone ever mention use of the code in the end without paying four YOUR work.
But scince it offended You so much than we appologise for that. We didnt thought that testing something would piss off so much people.
Once again sorry for the mess.

I have family to support and I saved up for the engines. It took several months, but I feel much better having a licensed copy.
As far as determining how much work to convert another project to TGE, all you really need to do is adapt your models, world and interactions to make a FPS with TGE.
If it is another type of game then you will have to modify the source to fit or script it, but you're saving time writing graphics code, network and everything else. There is a lot of people creating games with TGE and they're all doing fine.

They should have their accounts banned here also. I have family to support and I saved up for the engines. It took several months, but I feel much better having a licensed copy.

Anyways like I said. We are NOT going to use it anymore without the licence and all the illegal data was deleted.
So once again sorry for all the mess.

Will there be any steps taken due to what has happened?
We would like to appologise for all the inconviniec we were responsible for.
We hope that in future we will still have the possibility to buy the licence needed to use Your product.
Best Regards

You can't get all from pirating Torque that you can get from the real deal.. Private forums and Resources are gold worth, and I don't think I still would use the engine today if it were not for all the great help there is around here.
A serious developer wouldn't pirate any software.

Anyway, I would rather ban the guy who made it available on the web, then the guy who downloaded it. The guy who made it available did it with evil intentions. The guy who downloaded it, is doing something wrong, but not nescessarely with bad intentions...

If you want to test it just download the demo... play around with the scripts... that will give you a good idea what is available in stock Torque, everything else I'm afraid you'll have to code up yourself... but an RPG or whatever you guys want to make is defenetly possible, with minor changes maybe, but defenetly no biggie for an intermediate to advanced programmer. I see no reason for "testing" the source code. Anyway, I would rather ban the guy who made it available on the web, then the guy who downloaded it. While I do not condone piracy in any way, I know a girl from Poland, and $100 is a LOT of money in Poland. About like a $1000 over here. I hope they can get the money together to buy a legal Torque license.

What a sticky situation. I hope this gets solved. The engine is very good, and especially the community.

There's the demo as well, and a majority of the features of an RPG, if not all of them, can be implemented in script. That way, they can mod the demo and get their game off the ground. Or, instead of buying a copy themselves, why not join up with a coder on this site who is a (legitimate)owner? If they get a coder who has the license, then they can concentrate on other aspects of the game, and not worry about the money for the engine during development.

Well, if these guys really want it, they can pool their money together, or maybe put up a Paypal donation link on their website, if they have one(no, I'm being serious). There's a way that they can scrape the money together, not that it will be easy, but there's an easier way to be found if they're creative about it.There's the demo as well, and a majority of the features of an RPG, if not all of them, can be implemented in script. Then you may have a more valid "we were poor" licensing complaint when you see how much it costs to license HL2 and Havok. Actually, no, no you wouldn't.
And considering you seem to have at least three people with access to the source, you'd be in for $300. Happy month and a half.
Considering Poland is a member of the BSA, I wouldn't recommend using illegal source code in your projects.
