Where is QuArK???

by Kevin Rogers · in Torque Game Engine · 10/16/2004 (10:16 pm) · 2 replies

Hey all,

I've been using Hammer for my interior editor, but decided that I probably would be better off switching to QuArK since Hammer doesn't appear to be legal for Torque map editing any more.

The problem: The link in Chapter 11, "http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~quark/" doesn't work! The site seems to be down or gone.

Does anyone know what's up with this? Is there an alternate site that I can download QuArK from? I've spent over an hour trying to track it down, with no luck. Any help/info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Edit: Never mind! It's all on the next page in Chapter 11, "Setting Up Quark". I don't know how I missed that! At any rate, the doc should be updated if the GameSpy link isn't valid any more.

@ Kevin: Their site must be down. I was trying to get on it yesterday. Another good source and has a download I think is the Holodeck Quark Tutorial by Desmond Fletcher... but that site has been down since Wednesday. Another good source on Quark is the book "3D Programming All In One", by Finney. It has a complete Quark reference in the appendix.

You might want to do a search on a search engine like Yahoo or google to see if someone like Planet Tribes, Tribal war or a Quake websites might have a download.

Hope they get the sites up soon.
