Graphics Card Memory (How to find out)

How do you get the Graphic Cards memory from script? We need to determine how much Video RAM the user has so we can change some of the prefs. All of the get(s) Driver, and Video don't seem to get this info from the Graphics Card. Any help would be apreciated.
