It is very alive and doing well. I saw TorqueAI at IGC and it is very cool indeed. Everyone was reluctant to comit to a hard deadline, but assured us it would be available "soon."

I'm sure someone can give more authoritative answers, but there's your quick info.

Hey Eric :) Recovered yet? I'm not even close.

Firas, the AI Pack had a great showing at IGC, it's quite far along. I know the team had to get busy doing some real-life work for a bit, but the pack is shaping up nicely. I believe it'll get finished up soon, even if it means bringing on some more people to the team to help wrap things up.

One thing's for sure, as there is interesting news to report, you'll hear about it here on the site. :)

BTW, this AI pack will suit any game? Or it's towards RTS/FPS? What about a space shooter? :)

It seems is geared towards a game with terrain, as it uses a navigation mesh for the terrain and interiors, i think it is using an A* algorithm with these nodes, but someone workign on pack will have to conform that. My guess is that it woulnt be readily suitable for a space sim, but i may be wrong.
