All you have to do is change the skybox.

Check your mission file ( *.mis ), it should point to the file that contains the skybox ( *.dml ).

create new night scenarios and link it together in the skybox file. They are all text files.

You will also need to relight the world everytime light changes, which is quite expensive.

James

Are you talking about having your mission transition from day time to night time and back to day time in realtime? If so, do a search of the resources, there are at least two that I can think of.

Nono, I just want the whole world to be at night time, the game is set during the dark hours,
The only light sourcesI want are from lights, and a small ambiant light so the level is just visible.
Thanks,

In the Mission Editor, Press F11 then F3 and select the 'Sun' object from the object tree. Here you will find the color and ambient light settings for the outdoor scenes. Once you've changed them, press Alt-L to re-light the world.

Values around .15 to .2 make a pretty dark night effect.

Sorry, I probably should of posted a link. You can search for "day night", and you'll find it.
