Unreal/XP

I know there are problems with the Windows XP drivers, so I downloaded new ones from the geforce.com web site for my new system (P4 1.7 Ghz, WinXP, GeForce 2 MX???, 256 MB RDRAM PC800, DVD-ROM etc.) and they didn't do anything. I downloaded the ones for XP and the MX Series as far as I can tell. I used the new Compatibility tab too, and that did nothing except get the opening window up. The real file that crashes with the error message is 'UnrealTournament.exe' but sometimes, it says it is 'UnrealTournament.icd' but that has not been occuring lately. Any help?

From what I've been hearing, UT runs great under XP and nVidia's XP drivers are pretty close to top-notch. Do you have UT patched up completely? Check to be certian that your video card drivers installed properly. If you upgraded from a previous Windows version to XP and UT was installed before the upgrade, try reinstalling the game.

BTW, from what I've been hearing the compatability tab doesn't really do anything when it comes to games.

Hmmmm, ok. I know the Compatibility tab does something for games because the initial screen (just where it says Unreal Tournament with the developer logo etc.) wouldn't even show up until I changed that. I am getting all the patches now, I will report back :)

Thanks a bunch! It runs (like a charm, I might add ;)
