What makes run & look anims different ??

I have a model that i can get in-game. it will not play the run, back, side and look anims. this is do not know why, because the others work. standjump etc etc.
Does anyone know what makes run and look anims different ? i am not a programmer/scripter, so if you are, what makes run tick if you will ? if anyone knows anything please post, i think theres a lot of people having trouble with this, and if you do have a fully working (non-segmented) player model in-game using biped + com_skin, please email or post here.
id be happy to trade info of course, if anyone else is having problems getting to where i am (which isnt that far but still).
