Blender exporter?

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the blender exporter working on a Mac. I think it should work with python installed. I havn't get given it a try myself yet, since I wanted to get input from you all.

Why I am asking is actually due to a rather comical situation. My dev team insisted on using blender instead of MilkShape, given it was free and cross-platform. And or course, now that we've got a bunch of models created and skinned, everything has been pushed back since the supposed blender and linux guru who insisted that we not use milkshape can't make the exporter work :D Me and my team all run various platforms - one of the modelers does linux only, the other modeler/mapper windows only. Our sound guy is mac only. I run all 3 platforms, but only use windows when nescisary.

Trouble is, my PC is currently without a processor (don't ask...) and OS X is the only platform I have to work with at the moment. So if anyone has gotten the exporter to run or has some ideas, please let me know! Thanks!
