tribes v12 custom shapes

well i just finished my FIRST shape for tribes 2 and the only problem is that when i put it into the shapes 'dir' it doesnt show up on the mission editor, how can i fix this? Also all new shapes that i do put it to the mission editor come out totally black but the inside of it is fine. to fix this i have to relight the map, but is there a way that i wont have to do this?

erm. well that didnt seem to happen when i first installed the game. relighting the thing takes a while since im not the kind of person that likes to wait but perhaps i should try reinstalling it. Anyways, what about my first problem, is there anyway to solve that or am i doing something wrong? i know ive done this stuff before and it worked only im doing dts fils and not difs, does that make the differece or not?

My specific case involves using Win2K and Intel video on the motherboard of a Dell GX110.

What kind of video card are you using? I have noticed that certain video cards produce black characters and just the trunks of objects like trees - even in the demo levels. It seems to be related to whether you are using OpenGL or DirectX and which operating system you are using - i.e. the drivers for one operating system work while others do not (even the most recent - I checked)My specific case involves using Win2K and Intel video on the motherboard of a Dell GX110.

But anyways, can anyone tell me why my dts objects ive made are not apearing in the shapes list in tribes 2 mission editor creator?

so i far i know thats its not the d3d or opengl, and the fact that reinstalling doesnt help but this option called verticle sync was cuasing the problem, when i disabled it the textures came out fine.But anyways, can anyone tell me why my dts objects ive made are not apearing in the shapes list in tribes 2 mission editor creator?

To get it to show in the editor you will need to edit your staticshape.cs to include that shape.

After all the mission gets relit when you run the mission ingame.
