Zerolink and TGE?

My mac can take a while to link TGE after making minor changes, so i thought i'd try the xcode 1.5 zerolink feature. I've enabled it for the development build style and tried recompiling but it appears to have no effect as it is still linking everything after compiling.
Anyone got this working?
