Cross-platform multiplayer online mini-golf

Why oh why can't I find anything like this? A 3d online minigolf game, with support for windows, OS X, (and maybe linux), online scores, etc. A friend of mine and I are seriously considering trying to code something like this. What do you think? I'd like to use Torque for this, since it seems like a good jumping off point. Is it a good solution for this?

Nearly done. Kevin Ryan is working on it.

One of my favorite games at IGC

One of my favorites as well. However, it was my understanding that it was single player only since it was based off of Marble Blast. Anyone know anything about this? I would really like to play a multiplayer mini-golf game:)

Aren't there a lot of these done in Flash, Shockwave or even Java? Off-hand, I think Electrotank had a good one, and Miniclip has a couple though I'm not sure if Miniclip's are 3D.

I used Game-in-a-Day to create Ball Blast which I used as a quick technical prototype for the problems I needed to solve for Minigolf. I not sure if I ever made available the multi-player version of it. My kids and I were having fun playing 4 player games against each other over the lan.

I had multi-player Minigolf rock-solid on the lan here at my home. On the night before the ICG when doing some testing I noticed that the balls would get out of synch by a very small amount (0.0001 units) so I just commented out the Internet/Lan buttons. Whether internet play will be in the final version is still up in the air.I used Game-in-a-Day to create Ball Blast which I used as a quick technical prototype for the problems I needed to solve for Minigolf.
