Games created in Torque... links?
by Peter Martin Richter · in General Discussion · 09/17/2004 (8:27 pm) · 22 replies
Could anybody show me some links of good games created with Torque? I know and I already saw the games created with Torque, that are sold here in the site garagegames (and they are excellent games), but I wanted to see other games created by other companies, small companies or for programmers, etc.
Inside of Projects exist several games, but I don't know which were done in Torque of these games and which were done in other engines.
Could anybody post some links here?
Thank you very much!

Yes Thomas, I know that these games exist. But as I said above, I would like to see games not to be these games sold by the garagegames. Links out of the site garagegames.

Unfortunately the "completed Torque games showcase" resource you describe does not yet exist, but keep an eye out for it at some point.

Also, Trophy Hunting 4 and Trophy Hunting 5.. both made at Dynamix with the Tribes 2 engine (which became the TGE)

His lead programmer ran with the code and refused to give it back, I think. It's really a shame. From all the IOTD's they posted, it looked to have some potential.

Of course, it does seem a tad weird. But if they have nice art, why not go and get more programmers and do it again?

NDA, well.. yeah but I guess they trusted the guy. I don't know of many indie teams that enforce a NDA.

Yeah Phil. Maybe they gave up and felt too much work was done.NDA, well.. yeah but I guess they trusted the guy. I don't know of many indie teams that enforce a NDA.

@Stefan: Do you have any links to the IOTDs? I did some searches for "arthur" on the site but turned up nothing.

@Stefan - I do not allow anyone an account in our Subversion repository unless I have a signed NDA from them. I am worried about this exact thing happening to my team.

Hmm, how would an NDA stop someone from leaving the team and taking their work with them? You 'd need to ask them to sign over copyrights to you, which usually falls under a work for hire agreement, afaik.

@Thomas - Please note that people have checkout rights to the Subversion repository, but amazingly no delete rights. Let them take it and you still have acopy of the source. And as far as an signed NDA, any court within the US will slam them.
