Error:bone missing from shape

Having problems exporting character from Max5.1 with the max2dts exporter. Get an "error:bone missing from shape" after a looong pause. The model is posted Here I've been trying for a while to get this character in game and have tried a bunch of different setups, so this version might be linked wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also wondering if anyone knew why the exporter distorts ( rotates, scales) the skinned mesh after export?
