Will the real Beaver Patrol Pleas stand up?

by Britton LaRoche · in Game Design and Creative Issues · 08/15/2004 (5:19 pm) · 14 replies

Which candidate is the real Beaver Patrol game?

Canidiate 1
Candidate 2
Candidate 3: CTF?
Candidate 4

Since there are so many Beaver Patrols we might be changing the name of our sample app. We are also planning on having a contest for art work and a game at Game Beavers, and we are trying to come up with a good name and a story line. Any suggestions? We started a thread here a while back Game Names

Hmmm... I never realized how many people have no lives. Especially the people on the fourth project ;).

I'd vote on candidate no.1.
They seem to have a great thing going, the dedication and the team spirit really shine trough in that picture... and ofcourse, they have never (ever) spammed the GG board ... hehe ;-)

Keep up the good work Britton...

@George yeah. I'd say number 4 are a bunch of nerds if I ever saw one.

@Erik, Yeah I dunno, I like Beaver Patrol, but then I think Zircher's suggestion of "Teenage Mutant Samurai Beavers" has real commercial potential. Ofcourse we wont sell it, it will be free. Still it could be popular, we'd have to change the main charcters a bit.

@Jorgen, yeah number one has a great beaming set of smiles, as if they were having fun. Haha, what a bunch o losers. Just kidding its all good. Spamming? Yeah most of the Game Beaver members are a bunch of "bloody vikings" for sure.

Lortap sounds like a pharmaceutical drug. I like it. Beaver Lortap. Take it twice a day to relieve anxiety and depression.

Infact the more you take the better you feel.
Warning: side effects include dizziness, insomnia, excessive happiness, eventual fatigue, and loss of appetite. Prolonged use may lead to children.

Christopher, that one has a ring to it... is it a play on something else?

Jorgen, hmmm. You may be on to something, spank... beaver.. monkey has to hit in somehow.

Eric, ah yes alitteration (sp?) is always good. "Bad Beaver Brigade." Or something like that I think you may be on to something.

It seems like a combination of the phrase "Beaver Dam" (which is a fairly famous US dam) and the word "damnation" to me.

@Wysardry, "Beaver Dam Nation, the Woodland War" is pretty darned clever. I like it. It was the woodland war I was referring to sounds familiar for some reason...

@Jorgen, Getting better, the whole trick is to hit the true double entendre It has to have two complete meanings. One harmless and one risque. Thats how we attract the 18-34 year old market and get it past the parents too ;) About the video, sure. I believe you.
