Mirrors turning black?

I still have this interresting issue with mirrors turning either black or invisible. Not sure, it's just the mirror sided face that does this. It seems to happen if I copy and dumplicate mirrors in quark, sometimes the original mirrors are just turning black/invisible.

Any ideas?

Yeah the black polygons is a problem that you can fix by adjusting your 3d normals or by averaging them. It happens in every 3d progam I've used. The invisible issue is a problem with the polygon reversing and you have backface culling on so you can't see the opposite side of the polygon. A work around this problem is to not duplicate your model with transformations, but instead duplicate it then scale it manually by -1 in the x axis(if its on the x axis, otherwise z or sometimes y)
