I just bought TGE a few days ago and I like it very much but I have a few questions. First one is about the SDK, I was reading the License Agreement and was wondering if I have the right to edit the Source code.

I want to make a game like 18 Wheels of Steel (its a truck sim) and I want to know how to edit the racing demo so that you pick up a item (like a crate) and take it to a drop zone. Is there any tutorials for this?

I was reading the forum and so far I have not found anything about it.

I was also wondering do I have to worry about messing with the Source code when making some games.

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, you are more then welcome to edit the source. The only obligation with regards to the source is that you don't release it in part or in whole to the general public.

If you change the source you are also NOT required to submit any of your changes back. The lisence is ment so that you can do what you need to do to produce your game.

With that said if you want to release your accomplishment you can do it here in the private forum or as a resource.

Ben is correct. I think that in his last sentence, he means that if you come up with a neat feature that you want to donate to the community, you are welcome to post it in the private SDK forums or as a code snippet.

Ok, but I want to know where I can find some code snippets because I do not know how to program. Is there a place I can go that has alot of code snippets beside garagegames because I looked at them and they don't help me any. The game I want to create is a truck sim. But I don't have any code snippetd to help me. The main thing I want to do is edit the racing demo so that you can pickup a crate and take it to a drop zone.

Any help would be great, Thanks for the help.
