External Cut Scenes in Torque

Hi Everyone:
My group is creating a "Stealth Learning" game that teaches about technology from a FPS/RPG.
I saw the question raised in another forum, "Can you run other apps inside TGE? If you mean run a task and return a result from an external app, yes."
Some members think that cut scenes are on their way out. Maybe so, but I want to use them to help tell my story. See my website for examples in the Story and Ships section at: http://www.stealthygames.com
Our group has also created a Blog to help with development at: http://digitalduel.com/blog/blog_all.php
I want to run some cutscenes (.avi or .mov) from inside of TGE. Is there a tutorial or forum comment about this somewhere?
Thanks,
Earle Lane

If I recall, the only support for video play back is under the windows platform. Someone updated the guiavibitmapctrl (might be off on the name) to get video playback working under windows. A discussion thread was started and Xvid was mentioned, but (as far as I am aware) nothing has been done with it.-Ron

I often referred to a cut-scene as an in-game animation using the in-game models, etc. I guess I had it wrong. What then, do you call an in-game animation where models follow a path?
