Units?

What units is the engine operating in? It isn't metric. I made an object in max 32 centemeters heigh and it's more than twice as tall as the character.
It's like walking around in wonderland.

In 3dsmax4 (Not world craft) I made an object 0.38m heigh (I've measured it). It comes out more than 2 times as tall as the main character.

Do you have your system UNIT SETUP set to metric in addition to your SYSTEM UNIT SCALE set to1 unit = 1 meter? The default in max is generic units I think so even if you have 1 unit = (some metric - cm, meters, etc) under Customize->preferences->system unit scale, you also need to set your units to be metric under Customize->Units setup.

Great, now the shoe is closer to the proper size, but it looks small compared to the player model. Does the default model just have big feet?
Also, when I place the shoe in the world, there is a green box which has the X, Y, Z control thingy on it. The only problem is, that box is below the shoe by a great distance. It's making it really hard to place it on the landscape because I have to be 20 meters away in order to do it.
In max my mesh is at 0, 0, 0 and it has a bounding box around it. Why would this in-game box be so far out of place and scale?

Ahh, in the prefs dialog the units default to inches. But in the units screen it's set to Meters.Great, now the shoe is closer to the proper size, but it looks small compared to the player model. Does the default model just have big feet?

I believe it uses the axis of the bounding box for the origin of the model, so maybe the box origin isnt at 0,0,0??Phil.

Right now 0,0,0 is smack dab in the middle of the mesh. Do the dummy objects for the LOD and Shape need to be overtop of the mesh? Right now I have them off to the side.

I grouped my mesh, including the bounding box, and did an absolute move to 0, 0, 0.Right now 0,0,0 is smack dab in the middle of the mesh. Do the dummy objects for the LOD and Shape need to be overtop of the mesh? Right now I have them off to the side.
