3D-Diggers content

I recently got bored looking at all my own content, so I purchased quite a few content packs from these guys. If by chance you've been considering any of these, I reviewed everything I got. I'm not part of their group, but I was pretty pleased, so I wanted to do a quick plug here....

The packs come in .dts format already?

all content pack include "out of Box" models and interiors.
That means, if there are models in the pack.
- you get ready to use dts files, including collision meshes, animations, joints, mount point and LoDs (of course when it's necessary).
- if there is an animation included, also there will be the script to set the shape.
For the Dif models there are like the Dts models LoD included and for special builds like the bridges there are also extra collision hulles included (2 versions).
If you get the -dev- Version (all newer packs only comes as dev version), you get additional all source files like .ms3d, .qrk, .map. The scripts are always included.
That's for us the different between model pack and content pack, a content pack has to be out of the box.

Jens and Sebastian are working on a few new packs. The main Theme will be downtown big cities.
There will be 2 packs with skyscrapers and also packs with accessories for the city.
Here some pics of theme

Also Christian is working on a addition pack for this theme.

I really like the architecture style(s) chosen. Its generic enough to pass for any major city.

Will the ruins series be based on these? It would be nice if that series matched the others so we could mix/match better.I really like the architecture style(s) chosen. Its generic enough to pass for any major city.

the ruins series will base on this theme. Jens had the same idea with mixing the building with the ruins.

So what differs between the brown building and the other ones to me? Well the simple answer is that it's visually stimulating because it has an intersting variety of geometry, a texture pattern that doesn't noticably repeat everywhere (just enough for me to really catch one side) and if feels that it has had some attention put to it.
I definately feel that there is still room for improvement if you guys choose to do so where you can make this into a really killer content pack that teams would want and need, but that is entirely up to you. I have provided my two cents on the subject and I hope that it will help.

These certainly aren't too bad, though I find myself liking some of your building models and absolutely hating others. For example, I like the above-ground freeway as well as the brown octagonal building in these images, but I find most of the other buildings to be too boring and their textures to be too bland and washed out. They definately aren't something I would be happy with purchasing if this is an indication of their final state. So what differs between the brown building and the other ones to me? the last thing we want is to generate hate ;-).
So for the structures it's to late too remake them (there will be to much work).
The textures are not so washed out if you have a closer look.
here some closer views of the building.

I hope this cancels some buildings from your hate list ;-)

I like this pack actually, good luck with it.

Uh, I was of the same impression as Logan at first but now I did realise it was just mipmapping that destroyed the textures and not the textures being bad themselves.I like this pack actually, good luck with it.

sorry for the long time without response. Thank you for your nice words about our packs, and also for your great reviews of the packs.
*cough, cough*, now some commercial ;-) (hey this fits exactly to the theme of our next pack).
You can find a preview shot of the next to packs for August in my new plan
