@Matt: Sure thing. There are a couple of options. There are some cut-scene resources here but the current HEAD release does have support for this type of things, in a rudimentary form. If you take a look at the demo sample, it has basic cut-scenes (with a scene manager in script). You could either build on that, or use one of the resources here to extend it. I think 3D animated cinematics are on their way out. They're too expensive to produce and you can get a nice, dynamic effect with in-game cut-scenes. The great thing is that you can use the current state of the game to play them, rather than a scene that doesn't look right because your main character is a dwarf instead of a fighter (or whatever your situation is).

Graphics are 2nd in a game... Gameplay and storyline is #1 in my book.. =) .. In game cutscene's is the way to go it gives a personal touch to it.. eg) "main character is a dwarf instead of a fighter".
