New GG Front Page?

This forum seemed to be the closest fit for the thread so here it is.
What is up with the new GG front page? From a marketing perspective it is horrible for the game sales side of the site. It appears that GG is no longer a game site but is now a game production site. I'm confused as to why this shift is taking over? Wouldn't a publisher's main goal be to promote the games that they are selling? I know TGE and TSE Licenses need to be sold and the word needs to get out as much as possible, but you have people who are surviving on their game sales, and in my case dreams of future game sales, but it appears that GG is leaning more towards the engine itself.
That's about all I have time to type right now, I might come back and add some more later, but in the mean time, I call for a step back to the old main page.
:D

For the first day, the sales seem to relfect that we are doing something right. TSE had its best sales day in over two weeks. Our game sales are improved as well, but it is still too early to tell.

Edit: Just to be VERY clear. Nobody makes their living just from the sales of their games on the GG site. That is simply not in the cards for the next couple of years. GG can be one part of a plan to make a living from your indie games. You need to have you games sold on many downloadable sites, in boxes (if possible), in international channels, and plan on new cahnnels such as X-Arcade, handheld, downloadable PC's such as Phantom, etc.

Hm, I personally don't like the new homepage too much, but that's just me! :) I think I'm missing the blue gg-background, the page is a little too "white" for me.

The new front page IS better, but could be mucho improved. I think the first 5 items should be the popular games for sale, like a nice screenshot on the left with a little blurb to the right of the screenie. Then below that a link to a page that just shows ALL of the games in a format similar to above. After that a big heading like "Make Games" with pics/blurb of the game dev products, definitely including the book. Also, what I see as a BIG problem is that there is no price for TGE!!!-s
