No sound on osx

As the title suggest, I don't have any sound on osx. I just installed the 10.2 OpenAL driver a few minutes ago, but still dosn't work. It could be that I'm on 10.3 and using a 10.2 driver. But as far as I know that's the newest driver availible. Has anyone else had this problem, and have you found a way to fix it?

You see, to avoid conflicts with my day job (we use Windows) and as a birthday gift, my wife bought an iBook for me. So I was puzzled when Torque was complaining that OpenAL was not installed. So when I followed the instruction above ... I found out that my /Library/Framework directory doesnt have an OpenAL.framework entry.
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

It is not my computer problem since the other apps play the audio with no problems. I read here that installing the last version of OpenAL could solve a no-sound-problem. But, first; I do not know if this problem was related with the same game as mine, and two; Seth Willits wrote: "You could have just replaced the entire framework folder" but I do not have this OpenAL.framework installed on my Mac anyway.
I downloaded it anyway. Now I have got this OpenAL.framework folder on my desktop. What should I do with it ?
I placed it in under Library/Frameworks but it changes nothing. Should I restart my Imac ? or should I do something different with this folder ?
Oh! by the way I have ThinkTanks Demo too on my Imac and its sound works !

Other than that, really have no clue either. Curious, if you are a Torque user and also use OSX then, erm, what do you use? Does GG use OpenAL with its Mac OSX games? (I haven't checked to see what the pre-installed Marble Blast uses.)
UPDATE: Yeah, the non-44KHz .oggs were causing the problem. Guess under OSX, OpenAL isn't willing to up-convert streams, though it works fine under Windows. (Or maybe that's a function of the OpenAL->DX layer under Windows?) Anyway, I re-encoded the files as 44KHz and it works fine.
