Strange search screen with stars out of place

I was wondering if anyone has an explanation for what has been happening to me since last night when I go into the search screen. I'm running this game on Linux. It may have happened right after I installed the map pack, but I'm not certain on that.

It's come back again today... still have no idea what would cause it.

Jason, as a note, I have received this bug too, but never thought anything of it... not sure why I didn't. ^_^;

I'm seeing this today on my GF's PC. Never seen it on my Mac. (Though at times all the text turns into blocks in the chat screen on the Mac.)

Yeah black sometimes on my computer, when i experience lag in game and i freeze, when i exit there are glitched blocks instead of text. Every word is white and unreadable.

I seem to see the above screen more often these days, so that you know.

When ESCing back out to the lobby--after looking at them in the editor--I got the white blocky text gfx problem again.

I just had anothr screwy graphics problem last night that might be helpful in tracking down this issue. While playing around w/ some ideas for a level, I was ESCing out to the lobby when suddenly most of the inserted objects got a number of different textures added to them. Does anyone recognize these textures? (IIRC, one of them says CON-TROLS.)

Same with me. When your in the editor and you exit too fast the textures get weird and some of them actually say words. I actually got one that said "Audio">

It would be really cool if we could select different textures for objects on the fly in the editor. (Some of those look neat!]

On another note... the above search screen is now slowly driving me completely mad. I'd be willing to try anything if anyone has a theory about it all. It has me stumped. :-(

The texture names are hard coded into the .difs if I'm not mistaken. In my (brief) time with QuArK, I haven't seen anything that would indicate otherwise.On another note... the above search screen is now slowly driving me completely mad. its strange, on my regular computer this never happens but on my second computer this always happens. Its hard to tell if anyones in a room since the stars block the numbers. I hope you guys fix this by Orbz 3.
