Seperate

Hey! I was reading past threads and saw one that said you can make your models like CounterStrike, have seperate bodyparts to take diffrent damage from bullets. Since I'm making a RTS/FPS Do I have to put in fps mode, seperate body parts and then in RTS mode, a whole?
(Serously I think its impssible but just checking)
