What happened to Google adsense?

Just curious as to what happend to the google adsense banner ads. I thought they were a neat way for GG to generate revenue.

Thanks Eric that explains it. I figured it was a switch to advertise the GG games which makes sense I was just wondering if Google was doing something funny, and apparenty after reading the post, they were.
