Brian! Argh! I am NOT getting any work done today, and it's all GarageGames fault! In fact, that's what I am going to say in my next interview... "Yes. I wanted to work at my last job, honestly. But then GG posted the Torque Shader Demo and I spent all day playing with that instead of patching servers! And when that big virus hit, I was totally unprepared!" ;)

Guess I'll have to ring my mate at home and get him to d/l it, since he's got my 9600xt card anyway.

I hope it can handle TSE!

Hmm, good point. I only have a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 at home. ("Only!") It does shaders, but only up to DX9's v1.3 pixel shaders. Sucks, because they added some real nice commands in the v2.0 set. I haven't looked at v3.0 but I bet it's even nicer. (I don't think vertex shaders have changed all that much since v1.4...) Did they finally add non-sequential instruction execution (ie: loops and branches)?I hope it can handle TSE!

@Brian: Sweet. :) Well, from what I had gathered from the sidelines is that most of the advanced stuff was being done using vertex shaders anyway. Pixel shaders are just the icing on the cake for things like per-pixel specular hilights and bump mapping.
Wish I could be there to see the load graphs on the GG server as everybody starts slamming F5 repeatedly... ;)
