SP Starter Kit for single player

Would there be any interest in this? FPS starter seems to be more geared to death match and realm wars looks like teams. What about single player?

had to put the original back ground back up so as not to false advertise
version 2 comming soon beings i cant seem to get any new buildings and Player models to replace the current place holders.

Now i m working on transfering everything to the latest version of torque i can download. And then i will be working on a the inventory system and leveling up system and powerup sytems

Actually , yes there has. I think i already mention that the ai has been up dated to allow mulitple types of ai to run at once.Now i m working on transfering everything to the latest version of torque i can download. BTW, I didn't read the whole thread as the links to the mentioned SP kit seem to be dead. Hope something comes along in the future, have a use for something like that already.

I'd be interested in an SP starterkit, if it completly removed the MP aspect of torque. (Is it even possible to do that?) Might be a significant performance boost and fewer constraints than you have with a MP game.BTW, I didn't read the whole thread as the links to the mentioned SP kit seem to be dead. Are you still looking for some help with the sp_starter kit? If so I would be more then glad to contribute anything that I can to it. Scripting and (Object, Buildings) Modeling is my area of expertise along with 2d artwork.

1. site to site teleport objects
2. Exit objects
3. PLayers
4. Ai monsters
5. buildings (to fit with current maps)
6. New maps
7. Powerup objects
8. ammo objects
heh it adds up quick, maybe things could get change enough to be able to sell the next version, then again alot would like to see it stay free. i could go either way.

Hi Tom, This could definately use more stuff, players, ai , buildings, etc. Expecially need more ai monsters, Also i still think it would be cool to have exits lead to other developers projects.Stuff needed:

I'd really like to have a play with this and could possibly contribute some buildings/maps etc. in the future if time allows (new baby due any day now!). I've been wanting to do a SP game for ages.
However, none of the links seem to be working for me to download a copy to play with. I hope you can sort this as this sounds like a really great resource.

Since comcast upgraded service the next release will be on comcast site in stead of gamespy.

Yeah, the resource for this melee didnot work for me the first time either, i had to look over the realm wars project to get it working properly, it still has its flaws , but does the trick.

Well the melee and the camera is pretty much what i'd use it for. Isn't this based of 1.2? aren't you working on plans for applying this for 1.3 or even 1.4? Yeah, i didn't think melee worked at all when i first played yours.. I'd run from the spiders till they ran out of ammo then i'd run up and hack at them... didn't seem to do anything.... then i realsize that i had slain them already and that it was just they didn' thave a death animation and took forever to fade away :)

The 1.3 version "2" wont be much more then it is now (playing catch up). Abd if 1.4 comes out before i get version2 done 2 will be 1.4 instead
so far There is some Ai addin/clean up and clean up in general, lighting fixes/addins, and particle editor added.
I actually have a whole list of todo's, but never post them till they are actually done.
i just wish i could do better maps and models, but no, i have to use what available out there.

i am also uploading this directly to comcast, both my of my uploads have been unchanged since the release , i will post the direct comcast link as soon as it finishes (if it has the room for the upload)

Yes the link that leads to fileplanet is still valid, you must be registerd at fileplanet and use the free public servers there, is no wait time.i am also uploading this directly to comcast, both my of my uploads have been unchanged since the release , i will post the direct comcast link as soon as it finishes (if it has the room for the upload)
