Max2sts for 3dsmax 6

Does anyone have the exporter for the 3dmax6? i have the 3, 4, 5 max2dts exporter.. but will not work on 6.. need a hand.. noob here!.

There is an unofficial 3dmax6 exporter available. We're waiting on Discreet to send us a copy of Max 6 so we can port the exporter. :)

Ben you guys do know that in the meantime you could download the 30-day demo that is completely full featured? This would allow you to work without having to wait on someone else.

Interim fix for max 6 from Samme Ng is avaialble on the DTS Exporter Matrix. Please note you MUST use the UnMessDTS utility with shapes produced using this exporter, just like the Max 3 exporter.

I will let Jay know about the Sparks program, though he is probably already aware of it.

Are you sure? I created an account, and I can find access to the SDK documentation and a lot of tools, add-ons, and updates, but no actual SDK downloads. Perhaps they are not available to those with public registration IDs?I will let Jay know about the Sparks program, though he is probably already aware of it.

But they do have the Export game interface stuff availible. Not sure if your interested in that. That is availible to the public and is a special interface for exporting only. Not sure how it would work though for the current code.

I'm not sure either, I'll see if any of the coders here want to have a look at it and see if it'd work with SDK+ or something.

I will be having the pleasure of trying to export from Max 6 to the game engine tonight. Has anyone been successful in this effort and what ave you tried?

Yep - a lot of ppl have been successful using Sammy Ng's exporter. Remember Unmess program for some things like LOD, billboards.But some alos say it doesnt work for them. *shrugs*
