From the quark documentation:
Hi to all,
Not sure if this is a error on the part of the documentation, but I couldn't find the a/m option when I was making an arc. Anyone who can clarify this?

Quote:So there's a little trick to speed up caulking. Tag say the left face of the guide-brush of the arch, then select the right-face of the left wall-block. Now RMB|More Tagging|Caulk from tagged. The wall will be split into two, and the caulk pasted onto the part of the wall that's hidden.

Yes. I am using Quark 6.4 Alpha. But I didn't find the "Caulk from tagged" option as detailed in the documentation that comes with the program. Does such option exists in the first place?
I was following the instructions to make an arch.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, but not I am curious as well.

Hmm, well I can't seem to find that option either. I wonder what it is supposed to do? Tagging is almost exclusively related to texturing options, so I am wondering what this caulk function does?Sorry I couldn't be more help, but not I am curious as well.

"Caulk" is a Quake 3 term/texture for basiclly invisible geometry that keeps a level from leaking (I *think*)

I think they are referring to editing in quake3 mode.

I don't believe torque supports caulk? Well the null texture is similar.I think they are referring to editing in quake3 mode.

Above diagram shows an arch between two walls.
According to what I understand from the documentation is this, in my own words:
First
The right side of wall 1 is textured. But some top part of the right side of wall 1 is covered by the arch.
Second
Caulking is to remove the texture on the side of wall which meets the arch.
Caulking is said to help to improve the efficient of the map.

Torque doesn't support caulking. It does do hidden surface removal though.

It does do hidden surface removal, automatically?

Note that I say automatically, not automagically -- if you have an underground tunnel, the outside should still get the NULL texture treatment. The same goes for hidden-but-not-mathematically-coplanar surfaces.
