GameSpace and DarkIndustries DTS Exporter Sort Problem

I'm just curious if anyone has ran into this or not:

I'm using gamespace 1.5 with the DTS exporter from Dark Industries.

I'm making a tree, with a solid textured trunk with multiple transparent textured branches.

When I export without sort, the tree is fine, all objects export, although the top branches render before the bottom ones and this causes the tree to look strange when viewing from below.

When I add the sort parameter (i.e. Detail 1:size=100, sort) to the layer containing the transparent textures, not everything exports properly. Sometimes just the trunk exports, and sometimes just the branches export. Never both at ones when using sort. Furthermore, even when the branches do export, the top branches still display before the bottom ones.

Anyone have any ideas or experience with gameSpace and the Dark Industries DTS exporter?

Hello Robby,

If you can send me your scn file I can take a look at it and let you know whats what.

Make sure leaves objects are on the same layer as your trunk otherwise the exporter thinks they are detail levels and Torque will swap them out based on the size flag and your distance from the object.

Looks like a bug in the sort flag. We'll have this fixed in the next release version. Probably about 2 weeks out.
