Wiki?

Well - being so separated, we have the problem of keeping each other updated. Project documentation, who works on what, todo lists etc.
So how about leveraging the power of a wiki for this? I am successfully using wikipedia on my own pet project. Its far from perfect, but works wonders in having a central site that holds all info needed.
With TNL being open source we could even investigate using Atlassians Confluence, which (from the reviews I've read) is the Rolls Royce of wikis. It has a free license for open source projects. I am unsure about the details, and if we truly can use it for our purposes, but that would be fantastic opportunity to testdrive it. www.atlassian.com
Other good reviews (from what I hear) are for SnipSnap - www.snipsnap.org
What do you guys think?

SnipSnap seems to be written in Java and thus probably won't work for us. Same for Atlassians. :(
Now, if someone has a Java enabled web server lying around that they want to try this on, I'd be willing to do that. :)

Wikipedia looks decent, and it's in PHP, which means I can realistically set it up on our existing webspace. SnipSnap seems to be written in Java and thus probably won't work for us. Same for Atlassians. :(

There is even a connector for Apache, so that you can proxy requests through apache on port 80.
With that said - I got my servers, and could run it there. But they are neither in a nice colo or with 24x7 support. Just running on my personal 512/512 DSL.

Afaik Atlassian comes with a prebundled JBoss. Tomcat (the web/servlet server part) runs on port 8080, and can coexist out-of-the-box with any regular apache/IIS. I've run them a lot @work on both WIndows and Linux/Unix servers. There is even a connector for Apache, so that you can proxy requests through apache on port 80.

Well, I can do it on the current box (finally have shell access ;), just don't know how Rick will feel about me running other crazy server software.

It's up at www.opentnl.org/zap/wiki/.
There is authentication to view the site, and you must log in to post.
To view:
user: wikidude
pass: c0mmserv
Paranoid, maybe, but I don't really want this showing up on google. ;)

EDIT:
Or I should say... it's not creating the account like the documentation says it will

As far as I've figured it out, Ben needs to log in as himself/admi, go back to the login page and then the interface displays a "register as new user" button. He then needs to send us the account info.

Account creation is "less than perfect" in wikipedia. Thats one of the gripes I've had with it.As far as I've figured it out, Ben needs to log in as himself/admi, go back to the login page and then the interface displays a "register as new user" button. He then needs to send us the account info.

I've temporarily switched the wiki over to allowing people to create accounts. Sign up and let me know you've done so. Once we're all in I'll switch it off again.
