Primarily, my 6 yr old son had had wanted to play a game based on the old Tribes game.
I thought easy enough, I showed him how to make up the skins in bmp images using the old photoshop 5 and we were able to overlay the skins on to the playing characters, and I modified a few of the bases to be not floating, but land locked and to be castles rather than futuristic details.
I modified the "weapon pod" to look more like a table of medievel weapons.
But my problem lies in the action of the players.
they still fly "looks funny for a medieval armor to use the jump/ski and fly.
and when a weapon like a sword is to be used i get the old disk launcher shot or laser.
How can i incorporate a damage from a swing action within a target range ? anyone know if this is possible on this ???
any help would be most welcome, I started this only for my son and we have had lots of fun at lan partys so far but it gets old when the night in shining armor drops a mortor in your castle.
