LOL. It's pointless. Hey, what about the Phantom console? It's better, but not much...

I have a Playstation 2 and a Dreamcast (and an old N-64, and one of those joysticks with ten Atari 2600 games on it) for those times I want to play a game in front of the TV. They cost about as much as a new video card for my computer.

It is a non-market, PC Games on a PC "console".

Yeah, that is my point Jay, people either want a console to play console games or a PC to play PC games, who in their right mind wants this hybrid thing they are pushing! It is a non-market, PC Games on a PC "console".

The problems with a system like this are nearly infinite, but to start off, how about the fact that most PC game text will be unreadable on a TV screen? There is a reason why console games use giant fonts....
How about the fact that nobody wants to sit in front of their TV using a keyboard and mouse and many PC games aren't well suited for gamepad play?
Terrible, terrible idea. These people must need a tax write-off for next year or something; that is the only way this makes sense.

It boggles my mind that someone (probably multiple someones) was stupid enough to invest any money or time into something like this. The problems with a system like this are nearly infinite, but to start off, how about the fact that most PC game text will be unreadable on a TV screen? I can't blame ppl for trying to push the PC into the console market for sales, but yeah, this is not a good direction, if not a bad idea. If they want to get into the console market, they would probably have better success at making a pc that is more user friendly. Not having to fork over close to 3000 bucks for a system that can run today's games might also help :)

It is a solution for a non-problem. They are after the PC gamer that does not want to deal with loading graphics drivers and other "difficult" tasks. This is a non-market. They have been pushing this thing since LASTER YEARS 2003 E3 and CES!
The new 3DO!
