No plane??

Hey all,
just trying to add my first object but when i add it to my game an error comes up saying...
error no plane possible!
what am i doing thats wrong when modelling? im using lightwave.

That error message is not very specific. This happens mostly, when the engine tries to create a plane, but only 2 different points afe supplied by whatever part of the engine tried to create the plane, e.g. when it refers twice to the same point. I had a similar problem when I tried to get all the polys of the Terrain. There was bug in there, result in this error. However, I have no idea if lightwave or the exporter or the model is causing this. Try to export just a cube and see if this still happens. Sorry, but I can't provide much more help.

If you own the sdk license, you might want to try to debug the engine, to see at what point the error happens and what parts of the engine causes this.

What are you trying to model/export? Do you have at least one object set to export under the Objects tab? How many polygons and points does the exporter say it has saved?

Ah i see where I went wrong now i forgot to change the export to! man im dumb.

Help. Getting the same issue. Rigged and exported a model. The model loads fine with the show tool. Animations are also running. Problem occurs when the loadingthorugh the FPS Realm Wars game. After LOADING OBJECTS I get the error: "Error, no plane possible!" Copying back the original palyer.dts, it works fine.

Are you using Lightwave? If so, I fixed it by going to the Objects tab, and changing the 'export as:' drop down menu to mesh or node for everyone of my meshes.

Sorry, no. I am using 3D Sutdio Max 6. The issue only occurs with the model I export but works fine with the default player.dts.
