ChatHUD Question

Before I start, I'll just say that I promise I searched the forums for this before I posted! Also, please tell me if this is the wrong forum to post in. So here's the n00b question, everyone duck!
Well, here's my problem: I have the "latest" version of GORPE, and the chat simply won't work. In the GUI editor, you can go look at the MainChatHud gui, but it won't show up in the play gui. How do I get it to show up there? Thanks!

I'd help you if I could, but i've never even touched GORPE.

To add to my original statement, the chathud still comes up when I press enter (the key I binded it to), but nothing happens after I enter my message. When I look at the chat HUD in the GUI editor manually, nothing I entered shows up on it.
Does anyone know how to get it to layover the Play GUI?

Ok, ANOTHER thing: I replaced all GUI files with those from realmwars, and even with the realmwars play gui the chat won't wokr. GRRR. Any help is greatly appreciated. Seriously, whoever fixes this one gets a great big hug :D

Its probably not an issue with the GUI... its more likely something messy with the code. Of course, I could be wrong.
