Compiling Torque(LinuxVersion) on a Windows machine?

A friend of mine says it would be stupid.
Reason to asking this is because I have two servers that I've installed linux on, while they are not running any applications, I would like to compile their torque builds on this WinXP machine.
Is this possible?

Everything is built on this machine that runs WinXP.
Until today the servers have been running windows.
Now I installed RedHat and I want to run the servers still :)
Are there any documents that take this into consideration?
Or is it very simple?
I didn't understand what you meant with "Cross Compile".
Thanks a bunch.

But I don't think you are going to get it to "cross compile" if that is what you want, not easily enought to not just copy everything over to a linux box and do it that way.
