In the "Getting Started" guide at
www.garagegames.com/docs/torque.sdk/gstarted.php
the link entitled "Compiler setup documentation" leads to
http://www.garagegames.com/docs/torque.sdk/gstarted/compiler.setup.htm
which doesn't exist.
It should actually be:
http://www.garagegames.com/docs/torque.sdk/gstarted/compiler.setup.html

A question that's been niggling at my curiousity - what's the difference between an Employee and an Associate? None of my business, but I just gotta know!

But it often means just what it sounds like, associates of Garage Games that aren't actual employees of the company. Someone associated in some way with the company but not officially working for it.

(Sorry, sorry, I'm a Brit, over here Intern has some sort of relationship to solicitors I think - lawyers in USA speak!)
I really should be sorting out those coding errors! :-}

I see, so an Associate could be somebody producing work for, or employed on contract by GG. That makes sense. Thanks, but that leads me to another random and unnecessary question: what's an Intern, John? (Sorry, sorry, I'm a Brit, over here Intern has some sort of relationship to solicitors I think - lawyers in USA speak!)

Interns are typically college students "interning" at a company. Meaning they work at a company sometimes paid, sometimes not, in the field they are studying in order to learn more. Apprentice would be another word to desribe them, or even squire.from dictionary.com

Interesting and sensible: both tend towards being under-fed, under-dressed, under-washed, under-paid and live in very small rooms with lots of other people. *SIGH* I remember those days so well!p.s. @ Wysardry: sorry I hyjacked your thread, and welcome to the community!!

Woops, missed the continued discussion in this thread. Vic, John did a good job of describing associates and interns, sorry I didn't answer you sooner. :)

Hi Josh, I think John was probably in a similar boat to me. A ship-load of debugging to do, head fried, and all of a sudden I had the urge to know the answer to something completely unrelated to the task at hand. Thanks for the smile. :D

Besides, I wondered the same thing.
I was surprised to find several extra posts here though, as I'd already read Josh's reply.
