Finding good 2D artist, suggestions please.

Hi guys.

I really need to hook up with a very good, very fast, very reliable 2D artist.

Anyone got any suggestions where to look for such a beast?

This is a very specific kind of guy, in that he's got to be a very good pixel pusher. But mostly, he's got to be quick and reliable (i.e. if he's got something to do, he gets on and does it).

I need someone to make sprites/tilesets/gui/everything else for a few projects.

Suggestions welcome. Well, ok, suggestions on where to find a good guy welcome.

BTW: It'd be unpaid right now. Which is a bummer, but hey, its not like us programmers get to revel in money either.

If you want a good artist to work (it really is work) for free, fast and reliable, the least one could do is let them have some artistic freedom of their own into their work with only minimal criticism, and possibly try to make sure it will be of some use later on, will actually be seen.

Well, yeah, I'm picky, but thats so the quality is high. But anyway, I'll get by for now until I can show some things that can give a better impression of what I'm doing.

Just a thought, but, wouldn't you have more chances to find someone for the job, if you wouldn't limit it on the artist having to be a guy?

Oh, I didnt specify did I? guy, girl, hell, I'd work with a duck-billed-platypus if they did good work :)

Dont want to be excluding anyone.

Personally, I dont care, just want someone to work with who works and has some good ideas.
