Hello? Any answers on Linux port?

by Randy Graham · in General Game Discussion · 03/09/2004 (1:12 pm) · 4 replies

Again, it is I, requesting updated information on when we will see this on Linux. I made the mistake of purchasing a license based on the statement elsewhere that a Linux release would happen. Are we no longer worth responding to, here?

Thank god i haven't bought a license yet. I was also planning to buy one, but now i am not so sure anymore... oh well, there are other great games to spend money on.

So, has anyone any information on the linux port? Or have they decided not to do a port? Here is for still hoping.

EDIT: Hmmmm, I'm reconsidering letting my frustration get the better of me, thanks to Joe's response. But I still wonder why a Linux version has never shown up, after the developer of Tennis Critters posted in the past saying the Linux version was ready and waiting for Garage Games to make it available.

Randy,

I wanted to respond to this by saying that we (BraveTree) are supporting and will continue to support both Linux and OSX with builds of our game. Our current game, ThinkTanks has a linux version.

In this case, I think it unfair to blame GarageGames about this. GarageGames is the distributor of the game, not the developer.

GarageGames does not fund or exercise control over the developers who use this site as a distirbution channel.

Your best bet would be to contact the developer directly and ask.
