Doing 2d mesh hair in milkshape

Is it possible to do the 2 sided hair with the alpha channel texture that fakes the look of individual strands of hair in milkshape? If so how would you go about doing the 2d mesh for the hair?

EDIT: Also is there a way to preview what the hair looks like with the alpha channel added in milkshape? I have no way of knowing what the hair looks like before I put it in the game.

Yeah but how do you make a plane in milkshape? It's not a basic shape, and doing a mesh using vertices would require way too many polys and defeat the purpose of doing the 2d mesh for hair, right?EDIT: Also is there a way to preview what the hair looks like with the alpha channel added in milkshape? To see, and properly export, alpha materials, grab the material slider to the far right. Notch it over just a touch to the left. They will show properly if show textures is enabled. Some folks say sliding it anywhere will work, but I've found anything beyond a slight nudge will cause the entire texture to lose its opacity.

Under tools, extended primitives, are many more shapes than what shows on the main screen. There are a few planes listed. To see, and properly export, alpha materials, grab the material slider to the far right. Notch it over just a touch to the left.
