GDC 2004

#21 Corporate party Antidote Room Party Thursday march 25th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel across the street from the convention center. Free booze, music(maybe the monster sound system will make an appearance), few munchies and the party starts at 11pm sharp. It goes until 6am.(I will probably have to turn the music down at 1am but the drink will still flow).

#22 Will GG be holding a booth at either of these conferences (IGC or GDC)? Any news you might want to tease us with (Torque 2.0?) now, for the fun of it?

#23 I heard on the grapevine GG doesn't have a booth this year.
As for spilling the beans now, that would ruin the whole point of waiting for GDC to do some good PR/Markering, wouldn't it ? ;)

#24 A little birdie told me GG will be in the nVidia booth this year at the GDC. The GG crew has been very busy with GG stuff, GDC stuff, etc.

I think the same people that were there last year, plus or minus a few people, will be there this year.

Hopefully, some GG staff will tell us ;)

#28 Looks like I am going to be down there as well. I should be hanging out with the GG guys a bunch and can probably be found out in front of the conference hall smoking cigarettes.

If you see me, stop and say hey.. if it is warm out, I will wear short sleeves and I will be easy to spot (I have a large tattoo of a chain on my right forearm)

Joe, being a fellow smoker myself, I'll be on the lookout for you. I myself have long hair, a goatee, and if I'm wearing shorts, a large tattoo of a dragon on my ankle.

#31 I'll be at GDC 2004 from Tuesday through Friday. I'll drop by the Garage Games area (sharing with the NVidia booth I think) at least once for an extended chat with some of the Garage Games staff. My badge will read "Justin Lloyd" and have a "PRESS" tag (each year I do exactly what the tag says but nothing ever happens :-( (bad pun)) I'll also be hanging around the Game Developer Magazine and Independent Games Festival areas quite a bit. If you see me, please feel free to tap me on the shoulder and tell me about your product.

#32 So it's getting really close to that time now. Is anyone going to be driving through or around San Francisco on their way down? I'm here, but stuck with no car. I'll throw down for some gas.

#33 Zac, I'll be driving round trip from Sacramento each day. I'll be swinging by sunnyvale each day to pick up one of our writers, I'd be happy to give you some transportation as well.

The only catch is that you'll have to sit in the back seat of a Mini. So if you can deal with that you're good to go!

Last I heard you were heading down to the GDC so we could have a meeting, but I never heard from you after that.

#35 Hello Joseph - Actually I did attend the GDC, but not specifically so you and I could have a meeting. :)

But - I left a note for you - so who knows what happened after that.

The show was a little nuts and near impossible to stay on any type of schedule, which alot of folks had the same issue. Not a complaint, just a reality.

Hope you were able to get out of the GDC everything you expected and more!
