My latest and greatest development, come see...

Well,

This month I've been busy with development of sorts. ;)

I'd like to introduce the best thing that I've ever developed in my whole life!

My wife, Sarah, is now 14 weeks pregnant and we both went for the ultrasound on Thursday. I was only really interested in knowing that everything was fine and that there were no problems when something extraordinary happened ... it moved (kicked actually) before my eyes. Suffice to say that we were overcome with Joy, boy it gets real pretty fast when something moves like that in front of your eyes!

The only real relevance to the community will be my progressively restricted time on Strategem but we're trying our best to plan around it and all is going well so far. I've got to dig out my old computer manuals and get ready for tutoring the little one in the ways of the Z-80 processor, don't want to start too complex. ;)

Thanks everyone for your patience in waiting for Strategem but as I can now reveal, I've been a little distracted of late. I'm hoping that the IGC'04 doesn't coincide with the birth as I really want to attend this year.

All the best everyone,

- Melv.

Heey Melv,
great news. My congratulations for you and your wife.

Damned women did such things all the time ;-),
you think: Hey I'm in development with the greatest game of the world and there will be nothing better. Than the come and geting a baby and you know, man that's the reason we live for and nothing else can get better.

(hope you understand what i try to say ;-), sorry for the plain english)

Congrats Melv...

Don't worry about the Z-80 Melv... it won't take long for them to catch up on how to be just like daddy.

Here's a picture of my 3 year old daughter to prove it, you'll notice she already has the open box of software on her PC, the stack of CD's next to her monitor, 2 sets of headphones, a magazine, and her drink all on her desk (and her flashlight).

Hey Melv,

So what kind of a time frame are we looking at here?

~22 weeks till public beta?

This beta's at 29 months and working on the artwork. :)

@Lloyd: She looks a handful; I hope you've got blue wallpaper!

@Rick: I can't believe Zachary is almost a year old! Time really does fly by, you'll have to post a development update in your next plan bud. :)

Thanks everyone. :)
