Race Track questions...

by Rick Daniels · in Torque Game Engine · 02/11/2004 (12:54 pm) · 5 replies

We're trying to implement a race track for our game. We don't need the typical terrain. How would we go about setting the collision on the track to behave as terrain? (Sorry if this is covered and I simply missed it, trying to get ready for GDC and NO time :) )

Matthew is right, the simplest way to create a race track is to make it with difs.

if you want to see some examples take a look => Architecture ;-)

I've attemped several times to export a map file from max and recieve "export module failure".

I'm not an artist so while I was able to link the scene according to the example file. I feel I may have again overlooked something.

Has anyone else had trouble with Max2Map using Max 5.1?

Rick if you need fast results, drive your artists to use QuArK or Worldcraft (Hammer) to build DIFs.
