Modelling Contest

Hi, I think I have an idea...

It seems that many people needs some sort of game pack for their games. I am willing to fork out $100 as part of the prize money (hope more people will follow) and hope that GG will organise a modelling contest. Each contest will have a theme each time (army, fantasy, etc) and GG will pick the best 6 3D characters. To enter the contest, the modeller needs to submit the 3D characters ( with weapons and animation included) but without the max source file, for GG to access based on preset criterion.

The 6 winners share the prize money upon submitting the max source file to GG. GG can sell the characters & max source file as game pack, with the option of sharing 20% of the profit to the original modeler. For the people who put up the prize money, gets to have the characters and 3d max source file of the 6 winners. This will encourage interested people to fork out $100 and snowball the prize money and then gets 6 winning characters, than to buy the models later at a higher cost.

To give an example.
60 pay GG $100 each. Total price money is $6000.
GG organises the contest and states the entry criterion.
The best 6 characters (with weapon and animinations done) submitted, accessed by GG, wins.
The winners has to submit his source file to GG in order to claim the price money of $6000/6=$1000.
The 60 people who provides the price money and the organiser GG, gets to keep the winning 6 characters and source file. Thereafter, only GG has the right to sell the characters with the source file included, as game pack and may sell at, say, $50 for each character. Buying all 6 will cost $50 x 6 = $300. If GG so decides, the original modeller may get a 20% share of the sales from the game pack.

If the response is good, GG can organise another modelling contest with a different theme.

Of course this idea needs further brainstorming and fine-tuning. What do you say?
